DETROIT, MI - Former "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson catered to her Metro Detroit fans Friday night at DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston, and it led to YouTube fan videos that will likely go viral.
Clarkson, a 30-year-old from Fort Worth, Texas, opened at the venue for The Fray and appeared to drive fans wild when she slipped on a grey hooded sweatshirt and fulfilled a fan's request for the hit Eminem song "Lose Yourself."
"Is anyone an Emimem fan?," Clarkson asked the crowed, generating cheers before her rendition. "I am an Emimen fan as well; I grew up listening to him as well. But the difference is, people, when you listen to him on the radio and sing along to him in your car, you're a lot more badass than you actually are.
"Because when you get alone without Eminem doing it with you, it's not as good."A more than six-minute high-quality video clip, posted by a fan with the YouTube handle "kittycat319" can be found below. You can also compare Clarkson's cover with video of Slim Shady's original.
